This is rated as the ultimate Botswana Safari where we will visit the best wildlife areas, Khama Rino Sanctuary, Okovango Delta, Moremi, Savuti, Kwai and Chobe with the bonus of the ultimate landscapes of Kubu Island and the Makgadikgadi Pans.

Then the excitement to fly over the Delta, explore Moremi and Chobe on a boat will put the cherry on the cake. Let us not forget the beautiful evenings around a campfire listening to the cries of the Hyena’s and the mighty roar of a lion or the rumble and trumpet of elephants. In Moremi we will cross the famous 3rd and 4th bridges, a visit to Paradise Pools and Dead Tree Island and then move to Kwai River front with Elephants visiting us in the camp, on to the famous Savuti channel and the Savuti march land. Then our drive towards the water wonderland of Chobe.

DRIVING CONDITIONS OF THE ROADS IN BOTSWANA:

For this expedition you will need a 4×4 vehicle as we will encounter soft sand roads in Moremi and Savuti with a few shallow water crossings in Moremi. We will encounter just a few rocky spots after Kubu Island (nothing serious). We also suggest that you carry extra 20liters of fuel between Maun and Chobe.

DAY 1 : KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY

05:00	Departing from Pretoria at the Engine Garage, N1 towards Stockpoort Border Crossing to Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Refuel at Mahalapye, 80km across the border in Botswana.
15:00	Arrive mid-afternoon in time for a Game drive.
17:30	Arrive back at camp for a warm shower.
19:00	Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 2 : KUBU ISLAND

05:00	Early morning Tea & Coffee. Departing for Kubu Island.
14:00	Early afternoon arrival at Kubu Island. Time to sep up camp and organise camp site.
16:00	Exploring the island and capturing those amazing sunset images of Kubu.
18:30	Back at the camp – preparing for an Africa Island Braai. Bring your own meat and side dishes for a lovely time. Afterwards there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 3 : DEPART TOWARDS MAUN – SEDIA LODGE

06:00	A long day of exciting drive, we need to arrive in Maun before sunset. This is an excellent drive through the pans. We will stop along the way for excellent landscape photography opportunities.
16:00	Arrive at Sedia Lodge. Restaurant facilities and pool available at Lodge. Time to relax after a long days drive and set up your camp for the next two days.

DAY 4 : SEDIA LODGE – MAUN

08:30	Delta flight. Stock up for the next six days on food, water etc. Refuel vehicles and Jerry cans. Recharge camera equipment as for the next six days we will be without any plug points. You will have the rest of the day to prepare for the following days of extreme safari and get you equipment ready for action !!
18:00	You can decide on having a braai or you can dine at the restaurant at the Lodge.

DAY 5 : DEPART TOWARDS XAKANAXA – MOREMI

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	We take the longer route via 3rd-Bridge. Excellent game viewing along the road. There are many loops to be driven in this area, keep a safe distance and be on the alert for animals.
16:00	Arriving at Xakanaxa Community Camp. Late afternoon Game drive in the area.
18:30	Time for a shower after a long day of driving, and setting up your camp.
19:00	Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 6 – 7 : XAKANAXA – MOREMI

This is more or less what a typical day on Safari in Moremi would consist of.
Please take snacks and beverages with you as we only return to camp late afternoon.

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Departure from our campsite.
	Day 6 : Game drive in the area and late afternoon boat cruise into the Delta.
	Day 7 : Game drive in the area and to Paradise pools.
18:00	Back at the camp. Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 8 : DEPARTING TOWARDS SAVUTI CAMP – CHOBE GAME RESERVE

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Depart towards our camp site in the Savuti area.
14:00	Arrive at camp site – time to set up you camp.
15:00	Afternoon Game Drive in the Savuti area.
18:30	Back at the camp. Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 9 – 10 : SAVUTI

This is more or less what a typical day on Safari in Savuti would consist of.
Please take snacks and beverages with you as we only return to camp late afternoon.

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Departure from our campsite.
	Day 9 : Game drive around the Savuti and Marsh area.
	Day 10 : Visit the Khwai River and Flood plains.
18:00	Back at the camp. Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 11 : DEPARTING TOWARDS CHOBE SAFARI LODGE – KASANE

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Depart towards Kasane. This is an interesting road along the Chobe River.
12:00	Arrive at Chobe River Lodge. Time for a shower and setting up your camp. You can enjoy lunch at the restaurant at the Lodge and relax for the next stage of the safari on the Chobe River.
15:00	Boat trip on the Chobe River or visit Senjati Hide.
18:30	Back at the camp. Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 12 : CHOBE RIVER FRONT
(Full day of Photography on the Chobe River)

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Boat trip on the Chobe River.
11:00	Back to camp. Download your images and recharge your camera equipment.
13:00	Meet up for a photography information and feedback session.
15:00	Afternoon boat trip on the Chobe River.
18:30	Back at the camp. Bush Braai around a camp fire. Bring you own meat and side dishes. After the braai there will be time for feedback and a photographic information session.

DAY 13 : CHOBE RIVER FRONT
(Last morning on the Chobe River)

05:30	Early morning Tea & Coffee.
06:00	Boat trip on the Chobe River.
09:00	Back to camp.
10:00	Depart from Kasane towards Francistown.
18:00	Arrive at Cresta Marang Francistown. Set up camp.
20:00	Dinner at the Restaurant.
